Marinate the Chicken (Optional, but for maximum juiciness):
Place chicken in a bowl with buttermilk, salt, and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight. -
Prepare the Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, and baking powder. -
Make the Egg Wash:
In a separate bowl, beat eggs and milk (or water) until well combined. -
