🛒 Ingredients

1½ to 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced

4 tbsp melted butter (divided)

2 tbsp minced onion (optional)

1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley

½ tsp garlic powder or 1 large clove garlic, pressed

½ tsp kosher salt

¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
👩🍳 Steps to Make It

Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). -
Prepare the Potato Mixture
In a large bowl, combine:-
Sliced potatoes

3 tbsp melted butter

Onion (if using), parsley, garlic, salt, pepper

Half of the Parmesan cheese
Toss everything together to coat the potatoes thoroughly.

Grease the Baking Dish
Brush 1 tbsp melted butter over the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate (or similar baking dish). -
Layer and Top
Arrange the potato mixture in the dish evenly.
Sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese. -
Bake to Golden Perfection
Bake for 50–60 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
⚠️ After 45 minutes, check for over-browning. If needed, tent loosely with foil.
