🧀 Best Grilled Cheese Sandwich (Classic & Crispy)
Golden, buttery bread + melty cheese = the ultimate comfort food.
Ingredients (for 2 sandwiches):
4 slices of your favorite bread (white, sourdough, or brioche work great)
4 slices of cheese (American, cheddar, or a combo — your choice!)
2–3 tbsp butter, softened (or mayo for extra crispiness)
Optional: garlic powder, sliced tomato, or a sprinkle of Italian herbs
Instructions:
Prep the bread:
Spread a thin, even layer of softened butter (or mayo) on one side of each bread slice.
Optional: Sprinkle a tiny pinch of garlic powder on the butter for flavor.
Assemble the sandwiches:
Place 1–2 slices of cheese between two slices of bread (buttered sides facing out). Repeat for second sandwich.
Cook it right:
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
Place sandwiches in the skillet. Cook slow and low for 3–5 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula until the bread is golden and the cheese is melty.
Flip carefully and repeat on the other side.
Serve hot:
Slice in half, serve with tomato soup or a pickle — or just devour it as is!
Tips for next-level grilled cheese:
Mix cheeses: cheddar + mozzarella = melty magic
Add extras like crispy bacon, tomato slices, or caramelized onions
Try sourdough or Texas toast for a thicker crunch.
