Buttery, garlicky, cheesy, and golden brown β the ultimate comfort food side!
1 loaf thick-cut Texas toast (or any thick sliced bread)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
1 tsp dried parsley (optional, for garnish)
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
Make the garlic butter:
In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Spread butter:
Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on each slice of Texas toast.
Top with cheese:
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the buttered toast.
Bake:
Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Broil (optional):
For an extra crispy finish, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
Serve hot:
Garnish with a little extra parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
Tip: You can also make this in an air fryer by placing the toast in a single layer and cooking at 375Β°F for about 5-7 minutes!~
