Air Fryer Scones
Crispy on the Outside, Fluffy on the Inside – A Quick, Cozy Treat Made Easy!
Makes: 6–8 scones
Cook Time: 10–12 minutes
✅ Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
2/3 cup milk (or heavy cream for a richer version)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional mix-ins: 1/2 cup chocolate chips, dried fruit, or fresh berries
Optional topping: extra milk or egg wash + coarse sugar
👩🍳 Instructions:
Mix dry ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
Cut in the butter:
Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Add liquids:
Stir in milk and vanilla until just combined. Fold in any mix-ins if using. Don’t overmix!
Shape the dough:
Turn dough onto a floured surface. Pat into a circle about 1-inch thick. Cut into 6–8 wedges or use a biscuit cutter for rounds.
Preheat air fryer:
Lightly spray the basket with oil or line it with parchment paper. Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
Cook:
Place scones in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool & serve:
Let them cool slightly before serving. Great warm with butter, jam, or a glaze!
