Ingredients:
3 ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 8 lemons)
4–5 cups cold water
Ice cubes
Peach slices and lemon wedges for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1:
In a small saucepan, combine chopped peaches, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Step 2:
Cook for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until peaches are soft and sugar is fully dissolved.
Step 3:
Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Blend the mixture in a blender until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher if a smoother texture is preferred.
Step 4:
Add the fresh lemon juice and remaining cold water (start with 3–4 cups and adjust to taste). Stir well.
Step 5:
Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice with peach slices or lemon wedges for garnish.
For sparkling peach lemonade, replace half of the water with club soda.
Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar or a splash of honey if needed.
Keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 days.”
