Ingredients:

1 lb (450g) sea scallops (patted dry)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). -
Prep the Scallops
Pat the scallops dry with paper towels. This helps them cook evenly and get a better texture. -
Make the Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic, salt, and pepper. -
Make the Topping
In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and chopped parsley. -
Assemble in Baking Dish
Place the scallops in a single layer in a lightly greased baking dish. Spoon the garlic butter evenly over them. Then sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture on top. -
Bake
Bake for 12β15 minutes, or until scallops are opaque and the topping is golden. You can broil them for an extra 1β2 minutes at the end to get a crispier top. -
Serve
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
