⭐ Lazy Taco Casserole (Skillet or Oven)
Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tbsp homemade)

½ cup water

1 to 1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Mexican blend, or both)

4–6 flour or corn tortillas, torn into pieces
(or substitute tortilla chips)

½ cup salsa (optional but recommended)

Sour cream for topping

Optional add-ins: onions, Rotel, black beans, corn

Instructions
1. Cook the Beef

Brown the ground beef in a skillet.

Drain if needed.

Add taco seasoning + water and simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened.

2. Combine Everything

You have two options:

Skillet Version (fastest)

Add torn tortilla pieces to the skillet and stir into the beef.

Add salsa if using.

Sprinkle cheese over the top and cover until melted.

Oven Version (more casserole-like)

In a baking dish, layer:

beef mixture

torn tortillas

cheese

Repeat one more layer if you want it thicker.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, until bubbly.
