Ingredients
1 large round sourdough loaf
6 oz brie cheese, sliced
1/3 cup cranberry sauce
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
1/4 tsp salt
Optional: 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
—
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Sourdough
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Using a serrated knife, make crosshatch cuts in the sourdough loaf, ensuring you don’t cut all the way through.
Step 2: Make the Garlic Herb Butter
1. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, and salt.
Step 3: Assemble the Loaf
1. Gently open the cuts in the bread and stuff the brie slices and small dollops of cranberry sauce into the crevices.
2. Drizzle or brush the garlic herb butter generously over the entire loaf, making sure it seeps into the cuts.
Step 4: Bake the Loaf
1. Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and place it on a baking sheet.
2. Bake for 15 minutes, then unwrap and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges of the bread are golden and crisp.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
1. Sprinkle with fresh parsley for a vibrant finish.
2. Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.

Tips
Substitute cranberry sauce with fig jam or apricot preserves for a unique twist.
For extra indulgence, sprinkle shredded mozzarella or Gruyère into the loaf before baking.
