- Zest of 1 lemon + juice of ½ lemon
- 5 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 200g butter, softened
- 200g golden caster sugar
- 3 medium eggs
- 200g self-raising flour
- 5 tbsp milk

Step 1: Prepare the Base
Grease a 1.5-litre oven-safe dish that fits in your air fryer.
Mix the golden syrup, lemon zest, lemon juice, and breadcrumbs, then spread evenly over the base of the dish.Step 2: Make the Sponge Batter
In a bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
