Air Fryer Onion Rings

Ingredients (Serves 2–3):

1 large onion (sweet or yellow)

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking spray

Instructions:

Prep the Onion
Peel and slice the onion into 1/2-inch thick rings. Separate the rings and set aside the small inner pieces for other use.

Set Up Dredging Station

Bowl 1: Flour

Bowl 2: Beaten eggs

Bowl 3: Panko, garlic powder, paprika, salt & pepper

Coat the Onion Rings
Dip each ring in flour (shake off excess), then egg, then coat fully with the breadcrumb mixture. For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb step.

Air Fry

Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C)

Spray the basket with cooking spray

Place rings in a single layer (you may need to cook in batches)

Lightly spray tops of rings

Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown

Serve
Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce like ketchup, ranch, or chipotle mayo!

Tips:

Use panko for the crispiest texture.

Want to make them spicy? Add cayenne or chili powder to the breadcrumb mix.
