🐟 Baked Cod with Lemon-Dill Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Cod:

4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

Lemon slices (for garnish, optional)
For the Lemon-Dill Sauce:

3 tbsp butter
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)

1 tsp lemon zest
-
1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tbsp dried dill)

1/4 cup heavy cream or sour cream (for a creamier sauce)

Salt and pepper, to taste
🧑🍳 Instructions:

Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish. -
Prepare Cod:
Pat cod fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Place them in the prepared baking dish and drizzle with olive oil or melted butter. -
Bake Cod:
Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. -
Make the Lemon-Dill Sauce:
While the cod is baking:-
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Stir in lemon juice, zest, and dill. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.

Reduce heat to low and whisk in heavy cream or sour cream.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve:
Spoon the lemon-dill sauce over the baked cod fillets.
Garnish with fresh lemon slices and additional dill, if desired.
