Ingredients:
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Shape the cheese mixture into small bite-sized balls.
Roll each cheese ball in flour, dip in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
Place the breaded cheese balls on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Serve with marinara sauce for dipping, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes:
For extra crunch, try using panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs.
You can add a bit of Italian seasoning to the breadcrumb mixture for more flavor.
