INGREDIENTS:
– 2 lbs potatoes, thinly sliced
– 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
– 3 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round baking dish.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped thyme, salt, and pepper.
3. Place half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, then drizzle with half of the balsamic mixture.
4. Layer the remaining potato slices on top and drizzle with the rest of the balsamic mixture.
5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
6. After 45 minutes, remove the foil, and if desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top. Bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is crispy and golden brown.
7. Allow the torte to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
