🐚 Garlic Butter Baked Scallops πŸ§„πŸ§ˆ

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) sea scallops (patted dry)

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

  2. Prep the Scallops
Pat the scallops dry with paper towels. This helps them cook evenly and get a better texture.

  3. Make the Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic, salt, and pepper.

  4. Make the Topping
In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and chopped parsley.

  5. Assemble in Baking Dish
Place the scallops in a single layer in a lightly greased baking dish. Spoon the garlic butter evenly over them. Then sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture on top.

  6. Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until scallops are opaque and the topping is golden. You can broil them for an extra 1–2 minutes at the end to get a crispier top.

  7. Serve
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
