🥩 Air Fryer Rump Roast
Juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned — cooked your way, no apologies needed.
📝 Ingredients:
1 (4.5–5 lb) rump roast
1–2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: garlic powder, rosemary, or your favorite seasoning blend
Meat thermometer or probe (highly recommended)
🔥 Instructions:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
While it preheats, pat the roast dry with paper towels.
Rub roast all over with olive oil, then generously season with salt and pepper (and any additional spices you like).
Once preheated, lower the temperature to 300°F (150°C).
Insert the probe or meat thermometer into the thickest part of the roast (if your air fryer has a built-in probe, even better).
Place the roast in the air fryer fat side up. Select Air Fry mode.
Cook for about 60–75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches:
125°F (52°C) for rare
135°F (57°C) for medium-rare
145°F (63°C) for medium
Rest the roast for at least 15 minutes before slicing. This locks in the juices.
🥄 Serving Suggestions:
Slice thin for sandwiches or thicker for dinner plates.
Pairs well with roasted potatoes, steamed veggies, or horseradish sauce.
✅ Tips:
Let roast sit at room temp for 30–60 minutes before cooking for more even results.
Use a drip tray if your air fryer allows, to catch juices for gravy.
The crust gets beautifully browned thanks to the high-temp preheat—no need to sear!
