🍪 Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies

🔹 Prep Time: 10 minutes

🔹 Cook Time: 6–8 minutes per batch

🔹 Servings: 10–12 cookies

🔹 Air Fryer Temp: 320°F (160°C)

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 1/4 cups (155g) all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 3/4 cup (130g) chocolate chips (semi-sweet or your favorite)

  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

🍽 Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  2. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

  5. Fold in chocolate chips and optional nuts.

2. Shape the Cookies

  • Scoop out dough (about 1 to 1.5 tbsp per cookie) and roll into balls.

  • Slightly flatten each ball into a disc — they don’t spread much in the air fryer.

  • Place them on parchment paper cut to fit the air fryer basket (with small holes for airflow if needed).

3. Air Fry the Cookies

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 3 minutes.

  2. Place 3–5 cookies in the basket at a time, leaving space between them.

  3. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, depending on size and how soft/crispy you like them.

  4. Let cookies sit in the basket for 3–5 minutes after baking (they’ll firm up as they cool), then transfer to a wire rack.

4. Repeat as Needed

  • Repeat with remaining dough in batches.

✅ Tips

  • Don’t overcrowd the basket — cook in small batches for best results.

  • Slight underbaking is better — they’ll continue to cook a little while resting.

  • Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temp for up to 4 days.

🍪 Variations

  • Peanut Butter Cookies: Swap 1/4 cup of the butter for peanut butter.

  • Oatmeal Raisin: Replace half the flour with rolled oats and swap chocolate chips for raisins.

  • Double Chocolate: Add 2 tbsp cocoa powder to the flour and use white chocolate chips.
