🧾 Ingredients
-
1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
-
1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
-
1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
-
1 egg
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 1/4 cups (155g) all-purpose flour
-
1/2 tsp baking soda
-
1/4 tsp salt
-
3/4 cup (130g) chocolate chips (semi-sweet or your favorite)
-
Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
🍽 Instructions
1. Make the Dough
-
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
-
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
-
Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
-
Fold in chocolate chips and optional nuts.
2. Shape the Cookies
-
Scoop out dough (about 1 to 1.5 tbsp per cookie) and roll into balls.
-
Slightly flatten each ball into a disc — they don’t spread much in the air fryer.
-
Place them on parchment paper cut to fit the air fryer basket (with small holes for airflow if needed).
3. Air Fry the Cookies
-
Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 3 minutes.
-
Place 3–5 cookies in the basket at a time, leaving space between them.
-
Air fry for 6–8 minutes, depending on size and how soft/crispy you like them.
-
Let cookies sit in the basket for 3–5 minutes after baking (they’ll firm up as they cool), then transfer to a wire rack.
4. Repeat as Needed
-
Repeat with remaining dough in batches.
✅ Tips
-
Don’t overcrowd the basket — cook in small batches for best results.
-
Slight underbaking is better — they’ll continue to cook a little while resting.
-
Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temp for up to 4 days.
