AIR FRYER ROASTED CARROTS

🥕 Air Fryer Roasted Carrots Recipe

🔪 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) carrots (peeled and cut into sticks or rounds)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)

  • 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional for herby flavor)

  • Optional: 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup for a sweet glaze

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prep the carrots:

    • Peel and cut carrots into uniform pieces (sticks, chunks, or thick rounds — about ½ inch thick for even cooking).

  2. Season:

    • In a bowl, toss carrots with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other seasonings (garlic powder, paprika, herbs). For a sweet twist, add honey or maple syrup and toss again.

  3. Preheat air fryer (optional but recommended):

    • Set your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and preheat for 3 minutes.

  4. Cook:

    • Place the carrots in the air fryer basket in a single layer (don’t overcrowd).

    • Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.

      • Cook time depends on size and thickness of carrots. Thicker cuts may need closer to 20 minutes.

  5. Check doneness:

    • Carrots should be tender on the inside and slightly crispy or caramelized on the edges.

  6. Serve:

    • Serve hot as a side dish. Optionally, garnish with fresh parsley, a squeeze of lemon juice, or a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.

📝 Tips:

  • Baby carrots work too! Just increase cooking time slightly if they’re thick.

  • For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the basket — cook in batches if needed.

  • Add a pinch of cayenne for some heat, or drizzle with balsamic glaze for tanginess.
