- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Season the Chicken:
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Sear the Chicken:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Prepare the Garlic Sauce:
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Add heavy cream, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and paprika to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Simmer the Sauce:
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
- Add Chicken Back to Skillet:
- Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet and nestle them into the sauce.
- Spoon some of the sauce over the chicken breasts to coat them.
- Finish Cooking:
- Cover the skillet and let the chicken cook in the sauce for another 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Add Parmesan Cheese:
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken breasts and sauce. Let it melt into the sauce.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
