🥔 Crispy Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes
“Golden, Crunchy, and Addictively Good with Just a Few Ingredients”
✅ Ingredients:
2–3 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold, Russet, or red potatoes work well)
1½ tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika (optional, for flavor and a touch of color)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional toppings:
Grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh chopped parsley or chives
Dipping sauces (ketchup, ranch, garlic aioli, sour cream)
🔪 Instructions:
1. Prep the Potatoes:
Wash and scrub potatoes thoroughly. You can peel them, but the skin gets wonderfully crispy when left on.
Slice them into thin, even rounds about ⅛–¼ inch thick. A mandoline slicer works great for uniform slices.
2. Optional – Soak for Extra Crispiness:
Place the slices in a bowl of cold water and soak for 15–30 minutes to help remove excess starch.
Drain and pat the slices completely dry with a clean towel or paper towels. This step helps them crisp up in the air fryer.
3. Season the Slices:
In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika (if using), salt, and pepper.
Make sure each slice is well-coated.
4. Air Fry:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
Lay the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overlapping too much; cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 12–16 minutes, flipping halfway through. Thinner slices will cook faster. They’re done when golden brown and crispy at the edges.
5. Serve:
Remove and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, fresh herbs, or more salt to taste while still hot.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like spicy mayo, ketchup, ranch, or sour cream.
🔁 Tips & Variations:
For extra crispiness: Don’t skip the soaking and drying step.
Add spice: Try a pinch of cayenne or chili powder for heat.
Cheesy version: Toss with grated cheddar or Parmesan in the last 2 minutes of air frying.
