Famous Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi

Ingredients:

  • 1lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1½ cups white wine
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp Italian herb seasoning
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

FIRST STEP:

Place a cast-iron skillet on medium heat and add the olive oil.

Into the skillet add the shrimp, Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper, cook for 3 minutes until the shrimp is pink and cooked through.

SECOND STEP:

Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Place the skillet back on the stove and add the chopped garlic, saute for 1 minute until fragrant.

THIRD STEP:

Pour the white wine into the pan and bring to a boil, reduce the wine by half.

Remove the skillet from the heat and gradually stir in the softened butter, mix continuously to form a thick smooth sauce.

FOURTH STEP:

Stir the cooked shrimp, fresh parsley and lemon juice into the pan, warm through and season to taste.

Serve the famous Red Lobster shrimp scampi immediately, topped with grated parmesan cheese.
