homemade cheesy garlic breadstcks

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1-2 teaspoons garlic powder)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the Dough: Unroll the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Use a rolling pin to spread it out into a rectangle or your desired shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic (or garlic powder), salt, and pepper.
  4. Apply the Garlic Butter: Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the pizza dough.
  5. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the dough.
  6. Bake: Transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a greased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the breadsticks are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Add Optional Toppings: If using, sprinkle chopped parsley and dried oregano over the top once they come out of the oven.
  8. Cut and Serve: Let the breadsticks cool slightly, then cut into strips with a pizza cutter or a knife. Serve warm.
