5 minute dough veggie pizza Recipe

recipe makes two pizza pies I cut each pizza in to 6 slices Since the pizza isn’t perfectly each is a 12 inch pie Cut each pie into 6 pieces. Serves 12 A serving is 1 slice and three  points per slice

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups 375 mL while wheat flour,
  • 1 1/2 tsp 7 mL baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp 2 mL salt
  • 1/4 tsp 1 mL baking soda
  • 1 cup 250 mL fat free Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups fat free mozzarella shreds
  • 1 can crushed San Marzano style tomatoes
  • garlic
  • mandolin sliced thin veggies.

Instructions

  1. Prepare Dough:
  2. In large bowl, combine dry ingredients; mix well. Stir in yogurt and flavoring (if desired); mix until combined (mixture will look dry).
  3. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface. Knead dough 4 minutes, sprinkling with additional flour as needed. Shape dough into a ball.
  4. It makes “one pizza crust” but I divide it and roll thin to make two pizzas
  5. Bake crust on lowest rack of oven 14-16 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Top as desired. Bake 6-9 minutes or until crust is deep golden brown.
  6. I use crushed San Marzano style tomatoes, toss in some garlic and Italian seasoning to make the sauce.
  7. Use 1/3 cup sauce on the pizza dough. Add 1 c mozzarella per pizza and go crazy with mandolin sliced thin veggies. Bake another 5-8 minutes. Watch it.

Recipe Notes

Created a recipe using my 5 minute dough veggie pizza recipe, rolled super thin “pizza king” style, added homemade sauce of San marzano tomatoes, garlic, some mozzarella and loaded with veggies. What do you get? 3 point pizza per serving. Yes!
