Chocolate Date Sauce (3 points)


  • 1 cup water
  • 167g deglet noor dates
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  1. Add water and dates to a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and allow to soak 30-60 minutes.
  2. Add the date/water mixture and the rest of the ingredients to a high speed blender. Blend on high until smooth. If the sauce seems too thick, add more water, a tbsp at a time, until it’s a pourable consistency.
