Low-Carb Keto Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients:

  • 12 sticks of mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup of almond flour
  • 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of heavy cream
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Cut the mozzarella cheese sticks in half lengthwise.
  2. In a bowl, mix the almond flour, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs and heavy cream.
  4. Dip each mozzarella stick into the egg mixture, then roll it in the almond flour mixture. Repeat this step to get a thicker coating.
  5. Place the mozzarella sticks on a plate and freeze them for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or frying pan to 375°F.
  7. Fry the mozzarella sticks for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  8. Remove the mozzarella sticks from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  9. Serve hot with marinara sauce or any low-carb dipping sauce of your choice.
