PHILLY STEAK CHEESE FRIES

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef steak (sirloin or flank steak)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups frozen French fries (or homemade if preferred)
  • 1 cup reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the French fries package.
  2. While the oven is preheating, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the thinly sliced beef steak to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Once the steak is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set it aside. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, spread the frozen French fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions until crispy and golden brown.
  6. Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven and top them with the cooked steak, sautéed onions, and bell peppers.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the fries and return the baking sheet to the oven.
  8. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove the fries from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy your Weight Watchers Philly Steak Cheese Fries!
