Chicken Patties

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (any color you prefer)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, bell pepper, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties. You can make them as large or small as you prefer, depending on your preference.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the chicken patties in the skillet. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan; you may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your skillet.
  5. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Make sure the internal temperature of the patties reaches 165°F (75°C) to ensure they are fully cooked.
  6. Once cooked, transfer the chicken patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  7. Serve the chicken patties hot with your favorite sides such as salad, rice, or vegetables.
