Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (any color you prefer)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions:
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, bell pepper, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
-
Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties. You can make them as large or small as you prefer, depending on your preference.
-
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
-
Once the oil is hot, carefully place the chicken patties in the skillet. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan; you may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your skillet.
-
Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Make sure the internal temperature of the patties reaches 165°F (75°C) to ensure they are fully cooked.
-
Once cooked, transfer the chicken patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
-
Serve the chicken patties hot with your favorite sides such as salad, rice, or vegetables.
