Homemade Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (12-14 ounces) silken tofu
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey (adjust according to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: fresh berries, shaved chocolate, or whipped cream

Instructions:

  1. Drain the silken tofu and pat it dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a food processor or blender, combine the silken tofu, cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the processor or blender as needed to ensure everything is well combined.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or cocoa powder according to your preference.
  5. Transfer the chocolate mousse to serving dishes or ramekins.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, or until the mousse is chilled and set.
  7. Before serving, you can top the mousse with fresh berries, shaved chocolate, or a dollop of whipped cream if desired
