Keto Italian Lettuce Wrap

A Keto Italian Lettuce Wrap is a low-carbohydrate meal that features a lettuce wrap as the base instead of traditional bread. The wrap is then filled with various Italian-style ingredients such as sliced deli meats, slices of pepperoni, slices of ham, and salami, To add more flavor, a homemade Italian dressing made with olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, oregano, and black pepper is drizzled on top. This meal is perfect for those following a ketogenic or low-carb diet.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 organic lettuce leaf (outer leaf)
  • 2 slice of organic American cheese
  • 6 slices of turkey (the small slices from Oscar Mayer’s deli fresh)
  • 6 slices of ham (same)
  • 8 slices of pepperoni
  • 2 large round of Italian dry salami (Naturalissima brand)
  • 1 of a chopped up pepperoncini

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Pile up the ingredients in the bowl of a giant lettuce leaf.
  2. Wrap it and you’ll have the magical sandwich you saw above!
  3. I added 2 tablespoons of Italian Dressing (I used one made locally “Fanny Menoctone’s Original Italian Dressing” which has 1 carb and is delicious) on the side for dipping.
  4. Enjoy!

NOTE

Feel free to do the inverted wrap too if you’re out of lettuce or simply don’t have big enough leaves as I did here with some rosemary ham, muenster cheese, mustard, and arugula. Ham is always such a pain to wrap, though.
